eDocHeath was made modular to be cost effective and provide flexibility in terms of getting what you need. eDocHealth is made of one mandatory module eDocHealth Base and four optional modules eForms, Task Manager, Document Search, and ePrescription:

eForms
eDocHealth eForms can support electronic versions of the same forms your staff currently uses; forms such as
vital signs, patient flow sheets, progress notes, and more. These forms can be completed online through the use of standard computer or a TabletPC and its digital pen just as paper-pen form completion. eForms significantly decrease costs previously attributed to preprinted forms and reduces manual data entry through an Auto-fill feature of the patient’s demographic information. Unlike many or our competitors products, eDocHealth eForms have the ability to capture data from the forms for data validation and data mining.
Task Manager
The Task Manager supports appointment reminders, alerts, management of pending charts, test results and transcription review and sign-off, messages between staff, sending orders. This feature allows for easy navigation between messages, tasks to patient’s charts. The Task Manager also includes the provider dashboard which displays the check-in queue, provider tasks and messages, and a customizable view of patient charts before, during and after the actual patient encounter.
Physicians, billing and administrative staff have the ability to easily search for documents such as payments, claims, and EOBs based on certain search criterion .i.e. patient name, SS#, DOB, claim amount etc. eDocHealth’s Search module reduces various
administrative duties by performing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) processing and advanced indexing after documents
are scanned. The OCR process effectively provides the ability to locate text data within documents quickly through multiple search criterion or simple keyword searches similar to an internet web browser search engine (.i.e. Google).
With ePrescription, physicians can securely and quickly prescribe, check for drug interactions, access medical histories, and review drug reference information while in front of the patient. This automation reduces issues with the safety of the prescribing process as medication errors result in thousands of deaths annually. ePrescription allows for direct connection to multiple pharmacies electronically, thereby eliminating paper faxing and the associated costs with the paper process.

Technology
eDocHealth was developed using the latest Microsoft .NET and J2EE technologies allowing for a highly reliable, scalable and secure solution.
eFAX allows documents such as reports, prescription requests, and patient records to be faxed directly from eDocHealth eliminating the need to print-out documents that will eventually be faxed to colleagues or clinical facilities. Time delays frequently encountered when the office fax machines is busy receiving documents, paper supplies required for standard fax machine use,
and the need for dedicated phone lines is eliminated. eFax can also receive faxes directly into eDocHealth and automatically routed to predetermined files or patient folders based on pre-programmed rules.

Using the Web portal, your patients can now fill-out your office waiting room forms on-line, and at their own convenience, prior to coming into your office. In-office wait time is dramatically reduced, data entry errors are minimized, and staff efficiency is increased. Providers and patients now also have the ability to access their patient records by internet through secure connections and authorization rules set up by the practice.
The Workflow Manager provides document workflow automation based on pre-programmed rules to support your specific
workflow requirements. This feature can detect missing documentation required for certain procedures or visit types. In addition, it has the ability to automatically route documents for review and approval to the appropriate staff. For example, billing documents can automatically be routed toward the billing supervisor for further work distribution; front office staff can be alerted when certain documents are missing such as admission package, insurance card image or financial responsibility signed documents. The Workflow Manager maintains the required steps to create and maintain a standard workflow for your entire staff.
